Texas Golf Courses

Settlement in the area around Scroggins began in the 1850s. The community grew up around a sawmill operated by Milt Scroggins and became a shipping point on the East Line and Red River Railroad, which was constructed through the area in 1877. A post office was established in 1891. Census information on Scroggins was not available through the U.S. Census Bureau at the time of this writing.
