Texas Golf Courses

Mabank is a town in Henderson and Kaufman Counties, sixteen miles southeast of Kaufman. The population was 2,151 at the 2000 census. The City of Mabank has its origins in the city of Lawndale less than a mile away. In 1900 the Southern Pacific Railroad bypassed Lawndale by Just under one mile. G. W. Mason and Thomas Eubank, owners of the nearby Mason-Eubank Ranch, over which the rail road had been built, realized the opportunity that the railroad embodied and set aside a one-square-mile plot which they called Mabank, a combination of the name Mason and Eubank.
